Banish ants
Sugar helps you to get rid of ants in the garden. It sounds hard to believe? You just have to mix one tablespoon baking soda with a tablespoon of powdered sugar. Add this mixture in the anthill and those small invaders won’t disturb you anymore.

Prolongs the life of flowers
You have a garden full of flowers and you’ve decided to bring a few of them inside the house? To prolong their life in the vase add 2 sugar cubes and 2 tablespoons of vinegar. Sugar offers the essential nutrients for plants to survive a long time and vinegar will keep away insects and it will kill unwanted bacteria.

Keep bees away
You’re used to have lunch in the garden or on the terrace near the house. Then I’m sure that you know how annoying bees are. You can send them away using sugar. All you have to do is to fill three quarters of a plastic cup with water and add two sugar cubes. Mix well until it dissolves and cover the cup with aluminum foil. With a straw make a hole in the middle of the cup. Place a few cups away from the place where you have lunch and bees won’t bother you. They will be attracted of the sweet smell and won’t bother you. In addition, they will get into the cup but won’t be able to escape.

Clean your hands after a long day in the garden
After a full day of garden chores your hands will be extremely dirty and won’t wash only with water and soap. Mix 1 tablespoon of sugar with 1 teaspoon of liquid detergent and rub your hands thoroughly. Sugar helps to exfoliate the skin and remove the toughest dirt stains.
